Hey there, Let's talk about one of the most important parts of any wedding ceremony - your vows! These heartfelt promises are like the cherry on top of your special day, the icing on the cake, the magical moment that guests remember long after the music stops playing and the confetti settles. Writing your wedding vows can feel daunting and overwhelming, but fear not! I'm here to help you navigate this emotional rollercoaster and make the process a little less complicated and scary. So grab a cup of tea and let's dive in together and get started writing those wedding vows!

Step 1: Set the Tone

When it comes to your vows, it's important to think about the overall tone you want to convey. Are you going for something formal or informal? Optimistic or hopeful? Loving, romantic, or funny? The choice is yours!

To stay on track, try writing 1-2 sentence statements about your partner, keeping in mind the tone or tones you want to embrace. This will help you stay true to the vibe you're aiming for.

Step 2: Let Your Emotions Flow

Writing your vows is a beautiful opportunity to pour your heart out and express all the things you adore, admire, and cherish about your partner. Start by making a list of the qualities, quirks, and moments that make them so special to you. Do they make you laugh with their quirky sense of humour? Are they kind-hearted, giving, and always there to support you? Remember to also include funny stories, precious memories, and the little things they do or say that warm your heart. Your vows are a love letter to your soon-to-be spouse, so make them personal and all about them.

Step 3: Transform Ideas into Sentences

Take a look at the list you've created and start transforming those ideas into heartfelt sentences. Here are some sentence starters to get your creative juices flowing:

"I remember the first time I saw you..."

"What attracted me to you was..."

"I can't imagine life without your..."

"You light up my world when..."

"With just a [insert something specific], my whole day/life was changed."

For example:

"I remember the first time I saw you standing by your friends at that party."

"What attracted me to you was your eyes and smile, but it didn't take me long to discover that under your hard exterior was a kind, caring, and giving person."

"I can't imagine a life without your need to correct my grammar and spelling, or our late-night board game marathons. And let's not forget your secret dream of being on MasterChef one day. Until then, I'll happily be your taste tester." Step 4: Let’s Add the Love This is all about incorporating heartfelt expressions into your wedding vows. Think about why you want to marry your significant other, when you knew you were in love with them, what you miss most about them when they're gone, and even those little quirks about them that drive you crazy (but in a good way, of course). These statements will serve as the foundation for your vows. • I can’t imagine life without your..

• I love how you…

• My love for you has grown plenty because...

Step 5: Make a Promise, Pledge or Commitment This is all about making a promise, pledge, or commitment to your partner to always be by their side. This is where you can really get creative with your vows. Let your personality shine through and make it unique to the two of you. Whether it's funny or formal, just remember to be specific with how you will show your love and devotion to your partner. · "I vow to always support you”,

· “I promise to let you think you’ve won every argument and decision and take the blame when it doesn’t work out”.

· “I devote my life to you”

· “I promise to give you a puppy”

· “Today I vow…”

Step 6: What is to come
